Time to plan your African Adventure!

Pursuing the Big Five is a hunting thrill like no other. Of all of the game animals in Africa, none seem to capture the attention of the big game hunter quite like the elephant, rhinoceros, Cape buffalo, lion, and leopard. These animals are dangerous and difficult to hunt, requiring the utmost skill and the tools to match.

If you’re looking to add a Big Five trophy, or just an impressive and unique firearm, to your collection, don’t miss this opportunity! The NRA Foundation is auctioning a Sabatti Big Five Classic Double Rifle in 450-400 donated by Italian Firearms Group, available for bidding exclusively on beginning June 23 at 11 a.m.

Created for big game hunting, the Big Five Classic Safari rifle is elegant, refined and designed to assure performance, strength, reliability and accuracy. You want nothing less when facing the best of Africa’s big game.

Along with a receiver forged and milled from a solid block of high strength steel, the rifle features 21" barrels made from cold hammer-forged chrome molybdenum steel for better accuracy and tight tolerances.

The handmade custom stock in select grade walnut is formed with a full American cheek rest and beavertail forearm and is hand-checkered and oil-finished. The design includes a brass head front sight and a rear dove-tail base for scope mounting.

For additional strength to manage the large caliber ammunition, the Sabatti Big Five has a mono block and barrels along with a larger receiver, which is intricately embellished with images of a Cape buffalo, lion and elephant.

All proceeds of the auction benefit The NRA Foundation and the future of the shooting sports. Be sure to head to to get your bids in before the auction closes on Sunday, July 23! Don’t miss your chance at the Big Five!
