Lisa A. Vincent is the Unit Chief of the Appeal and Liaison Services Unit (ALSU) of the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Section. She has served in this capacity since May 2004 and oversees the primary functions of the ALSU which include coordinating internal and external sources of information utilized by the NICS, providing support and assistance for all users of the NICS, and addressing all correspondence and appeals relating to firearm transfer transactions.
Ms. Vincent joined the FBI in April 1992, when the FBI's Identification Division (now the CJIS Division) moved to Clarksburg, West Virginia. Since that date, she has held the positions of Assistant Operations Manager of the NICS Section, Supervisory Program Analyst, Supervisory Legal Instruments Examiner and Training Instructor. In March 1998, she was selected as a member of the NICS Development Team and served as lead Training Instructor. She and her team trained over 500 new employees prior to the implementation of the NICS on November 30, 1998. She also serves as the NICS Section Representative to the CJIS Advisory Policy Board.
