M. Carol Bambery, ESQ.
M. Carol Bambery, Esq. - Carol is the Chair of the National Firearms Law Seminar Steering Committee. Bambery has been a board member of the National Rifle Association since 1997. She is General Counsel for the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies in Washington, D.C., and former Chief of Legal Services for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. She specializes in nonprofit governance and natural resources law, and is a member of the Boone and Crockett Club. Bambery is an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she developed Second Amendment-related courses and is an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Law, Lansing, Michigan, instructing on wildlife law.
Carol is also counsel to the national initiative, Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports, a nonprofit focused on hunter/shooter recruitment and retention. She has been involved in a wide variety of pro-gun litigation in Michigan, such as successfully arguing the first case to interpret the Michigan Sport Shooting Range Protection Act. She successfully argued the first case upholding the Michigan Firearms Preemption Law. She and her husband, Daniel, are the co-authors of Common Sense Guide to Michigan's Firearm Laws and is a coordinator for the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program in elementary schools.
