M. Carol Bambery, Esq. is the Chair of the National Firearms Law Seminar Steering Committee. Bambery has been a board member of the National Rifle Association since 1997. She is General Counsel for the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies in Washington, D.C., and former Chief of Legal Services for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. She specializes in nonprofit governance and natural resources law, and is a member of the Boone and Crockett Club. Bambery is an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she teaches Second Amendment-related courses and has been a president of the School's alumni board. She has been involved in a wide variety of pro-gun litigation in Michigan, such as successfully arguing the first case to interpret the Michigan Sport Shooting Range Protection Act. She successfully argued the first case upholding the Michigan Firearms Preemption Law, and is currently working to pass Michigan's new "shall issue" concealed carry statute. She is the author of
